Candy Cane Grams Coming Soon!

Candy Cane Grams are being sent home in students’ folder December 11th. Candy Cane Grams are hand decorated cards taped with a candy cane and delivered to the classrooms before break. This is a fun way for students to pass special notes to their friends for the holidays. Buy 1 or buy 1 for the whole class! The choice is yours.

Talk with your child to decide how many cards they’d like to decorate this year. Fill out the form and turn it back in with money and your child will receive grams to be decorated at home. (The sooner they turn in the forms, the sooner they receive the grams to be decorated!)

Decorated grams need to be returned by Dec 18th

Have fun!

The BoxTops Mailbox Needs a Refresh!

Help Wanted!

Hey there! Are you good with your hands or pretty crafty? We need someone to help us repurpose our BoxTops mailbox. BoxTops no longer requires us to turn in physical tabs, so the mailbox has been sitting empty for a few years. We’d like to give it a second life by turning it into a school-wide mailbox for all the students.

Creative freedom is welcome – do it yourself, or involve a student (or group), ask your handy in-law to pitch in, the options are endless! Are you up for the task?

Email the PTA at howe.schoolpta@yahoo.com

Meet the Howe Team!

Each month, we will be spotlighting different staff members to encourage appreciation and awareness. Get to know them, greet them, and say thank you for their hard work! Expressing gratitude boosts morale and creates a positive school community. Be specific about what you appreciate and consider thoughtful gestures like thank-you notes or a highfive in the hallway. Let’s start by showing gratitude to this month’s featured staff member and create a culture of gratitude!
